Firas Al-Shaer, the founder of the SALA platform, has extensive experience in communicative methods for Arabic acquisition. His work incorporates several leading methodologies, including the communicative, functional, and suggestopedia approaches.
Firas received his MPhil in English language and education at the University of Glasgow.Firas is well-known for his scholarly and educational background, as well as his successful career as a biographer, translator, and media expert. He is also an Arabic-language poet, known for his refined expressiveness and creative accomplishments.
Firas’s teaching is very well-organised, systematic and thorough. Firas utilises a communicative and functional teaching methodology in combination with his teaching of Arabic script. Firas incorporates a wide variety of communicative activities with pair and group tasks, so that we could practise our Arabic with classmates, giving us opportunities to use the language covered in class.
